SPDA offers two grants for voluntary conservation and research at sea

Within the framework of the Carlos Ponce del Prado Conservation Award, the SPDA is promoting two grants for research and project development. The call for applications closes on August 11, 2024.

With the objective of promoting research and the development of conservation projects, the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law (SPDA) offers for the fourth consecutive year the “Sea of Peru” and “We Conserve by Nature” scholarships.

Mar del Perú” Research Grant

The “Sea of Peru” research scholarship is aimed at students in their final cycles, graduates or young professionals who are passionate about research that should focus on promoting improvements in the management, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in natural protected areas in the marine environment.

Those interested should review the terms and conditions of the call and send their application until August 11, 2024 to conservamos@spda.org.pe with the subject “Carlos Ponce Grant 2024 - Sea of Peru”. The scholarship offers a financial support of $1500 to cover expenses related to the development of the research.

Conservamos por Naturaleza” Grant

The “Conservamos por Naturaleza” scholarship is aimed at a representative of a private conservation area (ACP) or other voluntary conservation initiatives, which have developed a project that presents criteria of innovation, sustainability over time and generation of positive impacts of their activities.

To apply for the scholarship, please review the terms and conditions of the call and send your application until August 11, 2024 to conservamos@spda.org.pe with the subject “Conservamos por Naturaleza Scholarship”. The funding for the project will be 1500, for one year.
