Yessenia Elizabeth Coronel Caballa has been working as a Communications Assistant in the Environmental Policy and Governance Department of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since Monday, December 4, 2023.
Yessenia holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication from the National University of San Marcos. She has experience in writing environmental and social texts, broadcasting, proofreading, text verification, and, above all, volunteering with an environmental focus. She has worked at the newspaper La República, Participa.pe, Radio Santa Rosa, and Grupo Educa_d.
As Communications Assistant at the SPDA, she currently produces communications materials for the Environmental Policy and Governance area, writes news articles for Actualidad Ambiental, the SPDA’s news platform, and provides support for projects led by the Policy area.
Yessenia Coronel was the winner of the radio category in a journalism contest on water organized by the National Water Authority (ANA). She co-authored the podcast “El agua que nos recorre: Historias del agua y su acceso” (The water that flows through us: Stories of water and access to it).
