Rubí Yesenia Ruiz Salinas has been working as Procurement and Logistics Planning Manager in the Administration, Control, and Human Resources Management Unit of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since February 2023.
Rubí holds a degree in Economics from the National University of Callao, an MBA in Strategic Business Management from Centrum Católica, and an International Master’s Degree in Leadership from EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain. She has more than 12 years of experience in the areas of procurement, projects, infrastructure, and contract management. In addition, she has the corresponding certification from the State Contracting Supervisory Agency. She has worked at Banco Agropecuario as Head of Logistics and at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru as Project Coordinator.
As Procurement and Logistics Planning Manager, she is currently responsible for supervising the procurement and contracting of various services and consultancies for the SPDA. She formulates the procurement plan for projects, monitoring and reporting on its execution on a quarterly basis, and also plans and monitors the office and infrastructure maintenance plan.
In 2023, the Tambopata Meeting Room was implemented to ensure adequate space for the Annual Environmental Law Workshop. To this end, various logistical specialties were integrated, such as the acquisition of equipment and furniture, IT solutions, the refurbishment of spaces to improve infrastructure, the contracting of lighting and electrical solutions, and the hiring of a consultant specializing in audio and video.
Also in 2023, the relocation of the Iquitos Regional Office was coordinated, achieving better workspaces and adequate infrastructure. In addition, Sustainable Mobility Agreements were created to promote bicycle mobility for SPDA staff.
