Lawyer with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law from the University of Alicante and specialization in Administrative Sanction Law from the University of Valladolid, Spain. He has more than 13 years of experience working on environmental law and natural resources issues. He has worked in the Senior Management of the Environmental Assessment and Supervision Agency (OEFA) and in the Public Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Environmental Crimes.

Currently, is Legal Coordinator of the Por la Pesca project of Marine Governance Program of the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law (SPDA). Likewise, he is a university professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), Universidad ESAN and at the Universidad Cientifica del Sur.

It has been recognized by the Peruvian State with the “Antonio Brack” National Environmental Award. He is President of the Fisheries Law Advisory Commission of the Lima Bar Association and is part of the World Commission on Environmental Law of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). He has been a member of various technical panels in Congress and the Executive Branch for the development of various environmental and fishing regulations. He is the author of numerous publications on environmental and fishing law.
