Maite Ocaña Mallqui has been working as Communications Assistant in the Marine Governance Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since 2023.
Maite has a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Federico Villarreal National University and has completed a diploma course in Internal Communication for Organizational Management at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She has experience in communications management, internal communications, graphic design and production, and corporate communications. She has worked on issues related to human rights, indigenous languages, and intercultural education, and has worked in public institutions such as the Ombudsman’s Office and the Ministry of Education, as well as for the international organization SOS Children’s Villages in Peru.
As Communications Assistant, she currently monitors the program’s communication objectives and campaigns, and writes and develops content for the organization’s communication products, among other duties related to her position.
