Luis Zari Alva

Luis Zari Alva currently serves as Project Management Coordinator in the Forest and Ecosystem Services Program at the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law, where he has worked since 2020.

Luis is a lawyer with a master’s degree in Environmental Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a specialization in Planning and Management of Development Cooperation Interventions from the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI). He has more than seven years of professional experience in environmental and natural resources law, developing regulatory projects in the forestry and wildlife sectors. He has contributed to strengthening the legal framework for the prevention of environmental crimes such as illegal wildlife trafficking and has coordinated projects in the same areas.

He is the author of various publications in academic and legal journals on wildlife, forests, and other topics.
