Joyce Rázuri Cairo has been working as a professional intern in the Marine Governance Program and the Conservamos por Naturaleza Initiative of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since June 8, 2023.
Joyce is a law student at the Universidad Científica del Sur. She has experience in administrative, fisheries, and environmental law, as well as in the tourism sector, and has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
As a professional intern, she currently drafts reports and legal opinions, provides support in fisheries formalization procedures, and assists in the legal analysis of marine and fisheries issues.
She provides support in the logistical coordination and preparation of materials for courses, meetings, and workshops organized by the Marine Governance Program. She also provides support in the drafting of legal proposals related to marine and fisheries issues. She writes articles, legal opinion reports, and other documents on marine and fisheries issues.
I have participated in the UCSUR Environmental Litigation Clinic, which has allowed me to participate in the preparation and drafting of the Amicus Curiae of Advisory Opinion 25 of the IACHR on climate change. I have also been a finalist in the III E-Moot organized by UCSUR and SPDA, and I am a teaching assistant in various courses on environmental issues.
