Diana Suárez Galindo has been working as a legal advisor in the Environmental Policy and Governance Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since May 2023.
Diana is a lawyer with a second specialization in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and a master’s degree in Government and Public Policy from the same university. She has more than nine years of experience in the public, private, and international cooperation sectors, with an emphasis on forest resource management, environmental oversight, and the implementation of public policies to strengthen environmental governance at the national, regional, and local levels.
As legal advisor to the Environmental Policy and Governance Program, she currently conducts research, provides opinions, and leads strategies on issues such as environmental impact assessment and certification, citizen participation, and environmental democracy, among others. She has participated in discussion and debate forums as a member of civil society, in regulatory and academic processes.
