Luz Angélica Gómez Rodríguez has been working as a legal assistant in the Forest and Ecosystem Services program at the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since 2022.

Angélica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the National University of San Marcos. She is a young professional with training in environmental and forestry law, and has experience in international exchanges in countries such as Canada and Japan. She has worked as a pre-professional intern at the National Forest and Wildlife Service (Serfor) and at the SPDA, as well as an intern at the Municipal Authority of the Pantanos de Villa (PROHVILLA).

As a legal assistant, she currently performs tasks related to institutional strengthening in the forestry sector, as well as the protection and sustainable management of wildlife and fragile Andean and marine-coastal ecosystems.

Angélica took second place in the First Course on Forestry and Wildlife Legislation organized by Serfor in 2018, and first place in the Research Article Competition of the 20th SPDA Environmental Law Workshop: Bicentennial Edition.
