The Silence of the Sea narrates the life of Abelino Ramírez, known as "Mayumi", an emblematic fisherman from the port of Ancón, one year after his work and routine were affected by an oil spill off the Peruvian coast. Thus, through videos recorded by the fisherman himself, and a first-person narration, this short documentary directed by Audrey Córdova, evidences the struggle of someone who lives and depends on the sea, as well as the lack of action or coordination of the government and the company are affecting an entire fishing community.
