Sally Jabiel has been working as a Communications Specialist in the Biodiversity and Indigenous Peoples Program at the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since 2025.

Sally holds a degree in Communication from the University of Lima. She also has a master’s degree in International Political Journalism from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. She has more than eight years of experience in strategic communication and storytelling on climate crisis, biodiversity, and indigenous peoples for international organizations such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Oxfam in Peru.

She has also written for international media outlets such as El País, Dialogue Earth, Agencia EFE, France24, and Periodistas por el Planeta, among others. Her work has been recognized with fellowships from the Earth Journalism Network (2022 and 2023) and the Serrapilheira Institute (2025) for her coverage of gender, biodiversity, and environmental crimes.

As a Communications Specialist, she currently supports the implementation of communication and storytelling strategies for various initiatives and campaigns within the program. She also manages and produces a range of multi-format content that positions the program’s work approaches.
