Valeria Torres

Valeria Torres currently works as a legal assistant in the Marine Governance Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law, where she has been employed since 2022.

Valeria is a lawyer specializing in Environmental Law and Natural Resources from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). She is an extraordinary member of the Environmental Law Team at the same university and has been president of the Law Workshop Association, participating in the organization of various courses and events on environmental issues.

As a legal assistant, she currently works on the Blue Action Fund project, which aims to support the management and strengthening of marine-coastal protected areas. Her duties include providing support to the heads of the various actors within the areas of intervention with which the project collaborates.
