Vera Morveli

Vera Morveli has been working as a Legal Advisor in the Environmental Policy and Governance Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since 2023.

Vera is a lawyer by profession, holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University (USA), and has been a Fulbright international program scholar. She has experience in environmental oversight, regulatory project development, and public management in the areas of climate change, hydrocarbons, forestry, transportation, and sanitation, with more than seven years of work experience in the environmental field, having worked in public and private institutions and international organizations such as the World Bank.

She has published articles on mining formalization, the application of safeguards in mechanisms for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+), environmental oversight, and governance.
