The Environmental Law Workshop is back. In order to continue strengthening the knowledge of environmental law and to promote research among students, the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law (SPDA) opens the call for the 23rd edition of the Environmental Law Workshop (TDA).

The TDA is a formative space aimed at students of the last cycles (enrolled in the cycle 2024-II) and recent graduates (2023-II and 2024-I) of law or careers related to environmental issues, from all over the country.

The call for applications is open until Friday, August 23, 2024. It should be noted that all applications will be received only through this link.

In this edition, the TDA will have a total of 26 virtual sessions developed in the following modules: 1) "General environmental framework"; 2) "Productive sectors, infrastructure and environment"; 3) "Management and sustainable use of natural resources"; 4) "Interculturality and socio-environmental management"; and 5) "New global trends in environmental law".

The TDA will also count on the participation of outstanding national and international experts in the field of environmental law, who will share their knowledge and experience in each of the sessions.

Classes for admitted students will begin on September 17 and will continue until December 19, 2024, and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. It is important to mention that the workshop will be completely free of charge.

In this 2024, the TDA presents a novelty: the 20 most outstanding students of the current edition will be selected to participate in the SPDA Environmental Legal Clinic Workshop, which will be held in January, February and March 2025, in synergy with the Alliance of Environmental Legal Clinics of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Environmental Legal Clinic Workshop is based on the need to contribute to the system to reduce the gaps in access to environmental justice, as well as to strengthen the rule of environmental law in the country. Details on the application and selection process for this extension of the TDA will be communicated in a timely manner during the first meetings of the TDA.
