Katherine Sanchez Lozano has been part of the Biodiversity and Indigenous Peoples Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since 2016.
Katherine is a lawyer with a second specialization in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She has experience in environmental law and indigenous peoples, among other areas, and has worked in the collegiate bodies of OEFA and OSINFOR. She has conducted research and published articles related to mining issues.
She currently serves as Legal Coordinator of the Biodiversity and Indigenous Peoples Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law (SPDA), where she has contributed to the creation and implementation of the institutional framework related to the protection of defenders of environmental and territorial rights.
