This project promotes the protection of 5 million hectares of Amazon rainforest in the Purús Manu mosaic, safeguarding ancestral knowledge and indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation.
The project has three goals: to strengthen the presence and capacity for public and media advocacy of indigenous organizations by disseminating information and raising awareness of environmental problems and the pressures suffered by indigenous peoples; to contribute to the understanding and incorporation of the indigenous and intercultural approach in legal frameworks and public policies; and to strengthen internal organizational mechanisms and motivate youth leadership, based on conservation values, with a gender focus and ensuring intergenerational transmission.
