Crislinda Gutierrez Vargas has been working as a legal specialist at the Madre de Dios regional office of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law (SPDA) since March 2026.

Crislinda is an attorney and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, with specializations in Public Policy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, as well as in Environmental Assessment and Management Tools from La Molina National University.

She has 10 years of professional experience in public and private law organizations, where she has worked in the areas of human rights, socio-environmental conflicts, environmental law, and the rights of Indigenous peoples of the Amazon, with a focus on groups requiring special protection, such as women, children, and human rights defenders.

As a legal specialist at the Madre de Dios regional office, she currently provides legal support for public participation in forums such as the Concerted Local Development Plan and the Municipal Environmental Commission; designs environmental law training programs for youth; and supports initiatives to protect environmental defenders.
