Melissa Sanchez currently serves as Legal Advisor in the Biodiversity and Indigenous Peoples Program of the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law since 2019.
Melissa has a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master’s degree from the European Business School in Salamanca, Spain. She has more than 10 years of experience in the environmental field in both the public and private sectors. She has worked on issues related to sustainable development, natural resources, environmental management and certification, indigenous peoples, among others.
From SPDA she has contributed to the improvement of the protection of indigenous reserves and the dissemination of the rights of the PIACI.
